My Story
I remember the day like it was yesterday... I had been working for a small sales and marketing firm for a little over a year and had given them my ALL. I traveled around the country training employees, late nights, team building-- all the things I thought I needed to do to grow in the company.
I walked into my bosses office and told him I was ready to go into a different role-- the Digital Marketing role, and he told me we could revisit it at a later time. I was disappointed to say the least, but know it was time to chase my own dreams.
About 2 weeks later put in my notice and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where I started with a new company and my Social Media agency. To be honest, getting clients was easy for me. Within 30 days I had 4 clients at $300 a piece -- I thought I was doing big things but I knew it wasn’t enough to quit my full time job. I remember praying “If I get TWO more clients I’ll quit my job next month.”
September 2017 I was fired for the FIRST and LAST time in my life and I haven’t looked back since. I found an amazing coach (from an Instagram ad!) raised my prices, and by December 2017 I was working with my dream clients, taking all expense paid trips to Jamaica and around the country! And I haven’t looked back since…. :)
